Mokgadi Attorneys is a growing, 100% black female-owned law firm based in Pretoria, established in 2018 by its Director, Refilwe Albertinah Mokgadi. She is a previously disadvantaged legal professional with High Court appearance rights and over 23 years’ cumulative experience gained from working with senior attorneys and advocates across all court levels, from the Magistrates’ Court to the Supreme Court of Appeal.

She serves as the Managing Director and Lead Attorney of the firm. As the head of the organisation, she is responsible for all strategic and operational decisions. She oversees the firm’s overall performance, ensuring that all legal obligations are met and that high-quality services are delivered to clients timeously and consistently. Her leadership guides the firm’s direction, growth, and commitment to professional excellence.

Although the firm is still in its early growth phase, the Director brings more than 23 years of cumulative experience in the legal profession. Her expertise was developed through working alongside senior attorneys and advocates, as well as through extensive exposure to court practices and procedures across all levels, from the Magistrates’ Courts to the Supreme Court of Appeal.
Her experience spans a wide range of specialised legal fields, including Personal Injury Law, Public Law, Civil Litigation in both the Magistrates’ and High Courts, Supreme Court of Appeal procedures, Commercial Litigation, Contract Drafting, Administrative Law, Debt Collection, and Labour Law.
She has represented and worked with several high-profile clients, including the Attorney’s Fidelity Fund, Tshepi-Tebza Trading & Projects, MAJV (a SANRAL service provider), the HPCSA, and the Department of Rural Development. Her strong track record in meeting and exceeding service-level agreements reflects her commitment to excellence. Our office operates on a network of desktop and laptop computers, supported by Lexus Conveyancing and LexisNexis systems, allowing seamless integration with major banks and enabling real-time client updates via email or SMS.
We make use of Windeed for deed searches and have reliable scanning, photocopying, and electronic filing systems, supported by secure off-site data backups. With wireless internet and VoIP telephone lines, all staff have stable access to email and online resources.
Our hardware, software, and communication systems are continuously maintained and upgraded to ensure we meet both current and future operational demands.
